An Introduction to #Enabled Antiracism

For a long time, corporate forms of anti-racism has meant supporting policies and actions that highlights racialised inequality and recognises its structural nature without leading to systemic change. This approach results in passive outcomes when it only raises awareness of discrimination through reports and temporary campaigns, without implementing systems for sustained change.

#Enabled Antiracism refers to the active and intentional efforts to challenge and eradicate racism at both individual and institutional levels. It is a sustainable ‘train-the-trainer’ program that involves creating advocates who can create policies, rewarding practices, and champion attitudes that actively and systematically oppose ethnic discrimination and disadvantage while promoting equity, inclusion for everyone in workplaces/spaces, educational organisations and social movements.
