Guidance for organisations
To embed a coherent whole-organisation antiracism strategy, it is recommended that staff at all levels are provided with the option to self-nominate, as voluntary engagement delivers the best outcomes.
Prerequisite for learners
- Successful completion of racial literacy course
- The participant is a teacher, academic, or staff member responsible for student partnerships, education-based supervision, mentoring, or on-the-job training in some capacity.
- The participant attends the module with one colleague who has strategic decision-making responsibility.
I am not a trainer or educator in my organisation, but I have delivered workshops in a past job, will this programme benefit me?
Yes. The #Antiracism Train-The-Trainer programme works by supporting participants with experience of working with learners to create a community of practice equoped to deliver culture change that is sustainable in thier workplace or organisation.
Can I enrol on the #Enabled Antiracism Training programme if I have a low level of racial literacy?
No. To get the best from the #Antiracism Train-The-Trainer programme it is important that you have a minimum, a basic understanding of the concepts 'race', racialisation and ethnicity. However, there is still a way forwards. We provide a one-off, self-paced, interactive primer course on racial literacy which you can take before applying.
How much does it cost to do the #Antiracism Train-The-Trainer course?
The Antiracism Train-The-Trainer course costs £3000 per organisation (for a pair of participants). The Racial Literacy course is £250 per individual.
Can I take your Antiracism Training courses as an individual?
The Train‑the‑Trainer programme is designed for organisations to enrol participants in pairs, allowing them to work as accountability partners during and after the course. However, the racial literacy workshop can be taken individually.
When does the programme run?
Our Antiracism Train‑The‑Trainer programme runs every year, typically from late March to mid‑May. Spaces are limited and in high demand, so we encourage you to submit your Expression of Interest early to secure a place.
